snow manipulation spells Empty snow manipulation spells

This Spell uses pre-prepared snow (from the area or tags) or artificial snow (made with the freezing agent found only in the snow kingdom exclusive items list) and does not use the ice elemental mana nature

Name: Water droplet freezing Spell (also known as snow creation Spell)
Description: The staple of most Snow kingdom Spell, a unique type of shape transformation that allows the user to freeze water for use in spells with out having the ice release, by pooling mana in to a body of water the user slowly removes heat from it until it solidifies as ice crystals for use in snow spells, this is a requirement for almost all snow techniques when snow is not already present. All this spell is effectively good for is changing water based techniques in to snow based techniques.
Type: Fundamental Spell
Requirements: Water to use the spell on
Cost: Negligible
Rank: E

Name: Snowflake dancing Spell
Description: A simple technique where the user puts a tiny amount of mana on each of a few snowflakes to gain control over the snow’s movement, directing it’s path in the air and shaping bodies of snow. This is a requirement for literally all snow based fundamental spells, but its use on its own is very limited, it could potentially be used to make detailed snow-men or direct the flow of falling snow at a target location but it has virtually no combat use on its own.
Type: Fundamental Spell
Requirements: water droplet freezing Spell
Cost: negligible
Rank: E

Name: The art of snow walking
Description: Similar to the art of tree walking and water walking Spells the user gathers mana to their feet to avoid slipping or losing traction in icy, wet terrain. This Spell enables the user to run up most any body of snow or ice with out leaving even the slightest tracks and keeps the user from falling in to snowdrifts or sinking, it can also be used to cross thin frozen lakes with out cracking the thin ice or sliding on the surface. This also allows the caster to use a mound of lose snow as a solid platform for physical maneuvering.
Type: Fundamental Spell
Requirements: None (dose not require snowflake dancing or any other technique, is simply a matter of mana control)
Cost: E (maintaining the effect is negligible)
Rank: D

Name: Internal warmth technique
Description: A Spell used to keep the user warm in snowy environments when they are not wearing sufficient covering, by keeping a layer of mana around them they are able to retain all their body heat close to themselves and avoid the effects of hypothermia even when barely clothed or submerged in snow, by sustaining the blanket of mana around them they can train and perform very long term missions in the snow without any risk of ill effects from cold.
Type: Fundamental Spell
Requirements: Art of Snow walking
Cost: E
Rank: D

Name: Snowfall restraint Spell
Description: a technique performed while it is snowing, the user gathers mana among the falling snowflakes and causes them to condense themselves on to part of an opponent’s body, this forms in to a heavy, solid clump of snow around the limb which slows the opponent down so more restraints can be formed until the victim is sounded in a freezing cold mound of snow that weighs down their body. This spell can be used during heavy snowfall to surprise enemies or can use ordinary snowballs as a mechanism for delivering the snow to the target. Though the snow is just tightly compacted snow and is not particularly durable this technique is best used to gain advantage in a fight rather then a full-on prison spell.
Type: Fundamental Spell
Requirements: Snowflake dancing spell, snowfall in the area or for the target to have snow on them somewhere.
Cost: D
Rank: C

Name: Snowdrift technique
Description: a Spell in which he user floods a snowy surface with mana causing the snow to move in one direction, the wave of rushing snow can be used to push away opponents or move the user and their friends away from harm. This is a popular spell for heroes who use a snowboard, sled or skis to get around as it provides a burst of speed with said sliding vehicles and allows them to change or even reverse direction on a dime with these ‘pushes’.
Type: Fundamental Spell
Requirements: Snowflake dancing spell, and a snow or slush covered surface
Cost: D
Rank: C

Name: Deadly snowball Spell
Description: Creates a snowball reinforced with mana and launches it at the opponent, though it appears ordinary enough the snowball itself is reinforced with enough manna to be far more solid then a mundane one. The snowball is also ‘launched’ rather then ‘thrown’ and can be fired strait out of a body of snow rather than the users own hands. The offensive power of this technique goes beyond simply throwing a decent sized rock and is classified as the most basic snow based attack spell.
Type: Fundamental Spell
Requirements: Snowflake dancing spell, enough snow to make a snowball
Cost: D
Rank: C

Name: Snow soldier weapon spell
Description: A spell that makes full use of the snow mage’s ability to compact snow down in to a solid shape, the user shapes a solid construct of snow in the form of a weapon, any weapon the user has the snow to create, then wields it as if it were an ordinary weapon, the downside being that no mater what type of weapon it is the snow-weapon will only deal blunt damage. The advantage to this technique is that the weapon, being made of snow, can break apart and re-form at will, it is precisely as “solid” as the user wants it to be and can be as ridged or flexible as the user desires, regardless of its shape. The user can even wield the weapon as a whirling mass of moving snowflakes if they desire. This makes the weapon unpredictable and able to pass through any weapon being used to parry it, or even “catch” an opponents weapon inside and “lock” it there by being solid once its passed half way through.
Type: Fundamental Spell
Requirements: Deadly snowball spell, snow enough to make the construct
Cost: C
Rank: C

Name: Snow spears Spell
Description: The user touches a snow covered floor and creates solid, spikes of snow from it sending them facing what ever direction they like, this is used both to cause opponents to jump away and to skewer in air opponents upon landing, the spears are comparable to wood in solidity but move quickly, held by the snow that formed them. Effectively this creates three to five short spears using the snow soldier weapon spell and launches them along a given direction from the ground, the spikes themselves last only for a moment but are actually able to deal damage other then simple blunt force before breaking apart in to ordinary clumps of snow.
Type: Fundamental Spell
Requirements: snow soldier weapon spell and snowdrift technique and snow enough to make the construct and move under it
Cost: C
Rank: C

Name: Snow wall Spell
Description: gathering snow before them the user creates a defensive all of snow, this can be made extremely solid or allow objects to become stuck inside depending on the user’s desire but the wall is in any case unusually thick, closer to a rectangular pillar, roughly dependent on the amount of snow and the height width and thickness the user choses to make it mana prevents more then one singular strait wall at a time without crumbling, so as to hold its solid-most, sturdy-most form.
Requires snowfall restraint technique
Type: Fundamental Spell
Requirements: Snowfall restraint spell and a sizable quantity of snow enough to make the construct
Cost: C
Rank: C

Name: Hiding in the snow Spell
Description: a technique in which the user passes though snow as if it were air or water, enabling them to move under opponents or though their own snow techniques, this is most commonly used as an ambush technique but could also be used to escape if the environment has a suitable coverage of snow to dive inside.
Type: Fundamental Spell
Requirements: Internal warmth technique and the art of snow walking
Cost: D
Rank: C

Name: Gust of snow spell
Description: creates a powerful rush of falling snow either from the air or flung up from the ground strong enough to anyone in a decently sized area back in a single direction, slow their movement or cause them to lose their footing, used tactically to keep opponents at a distance. The difference between slowing and knockback depends on how close the user is, depending on
Type: Fundamental Spell
Requirements: Snowdrift technique, a very small amount of snow
Cost: C
Rank: C

Name: Snowfall Spell
Description: a stronger snow kingdom technique which requires a great volume of water or appropriate atmospheric conditions, the caster uses the water droplet freezing spell on the water then sends water droplets in to the atmosphere over head to cause it to begin to snow and cover the area in a sheet of snow rather quickly (over five rounds) to enable the use of snow spells, this also lowers the temperature to freezing in a small area for a time after the snow finishes (another five posts)
Type: Fundamental Spell
Requirements: Either a large amount of water or clouds, water droplet freezing spell, and snowflake dancing spell
Cost: C
Rank: C

Name: Snow sculpture clone
Description: A clone made up of packed snow, though it appears identical to the user, when attacked the damaged portions of the clone will blow away and be shown to be snow. Despite being literal animate snowmen these clones to take a few hits before blowing apart entirely and piercing or projectile weapons will simply get stuck in them, the user can also use the snowflake dancing spell to manipulate the snow within the clones bodies as well as reform them though these clones do not have a “link” to their user they can use the snow inside their bodies for other snow spells, a popular combination is shaping the snow clone’s arms in to weapons using the snow soldier weapon spell.
Type: Fundamental Spell
Requirements: Snow enough to make the clone, snow soldier weapon spell
Cost: C
Rank: B

Name: Blizzard technique
Description: the advanced form of the snowfall Spell, it requires a larger body of water but allows the user to cover a decently sized area in as dense blanket of snow enabling basically all snow spells, the blizzard itself lasts only three posts but has a much more severe snowfall and harsher weather conditions, due to the larger volume of snow the temperature in the area is significantly lowered to just below freezing for longer (the entire thread) unless the
Type: Fundamental Spell
Requirements: Snowfall spell, a suitable body of water or clouds.
Cost: B
Rank: B

Name: Arctic wolf-pack stampede
Description: A Spell in which the user gathers up a large amount of snow and shapes it in to a pack of very large wolves, causing a stampede toward opponents with great speed and force, the wolves can also be used to fight individually but just like the snow sculpture clones they only deal blunt force damage. This technique is most effective on cliff sides or at the foot of steep mountains as the wolves can gather up more snow as they run causing potential avalanches.  Three to six wolves are produced depending on the amount of snow; the wolves last for two rounds after the initial charge.
Type: Fundamental Spell
Requirements: Snow sculpture clone, snowdrift technique, snow enough to make the constructs
Cost: B
Rank: B

Name: Snow prison Spell
Description: The user calls up a large amount of snow from the ground or other sources which surrounds an opponent in a freezing pile of hardened snow, cutting off their movement by trapping them in place under its weight and slowly freezing their bodies with its cold. Maintaining this pressure and hardness requires a large amount of mana and focus, meaning the user or a clone will have to stay touching the prison to keep it working. This technique can also be used to “catch” a falling opponent in to the prison and hold them there. Prisoners inside the spell take damage from the cold every round getting closer to frostbite and hypothermia unless protected by waterproof, arctic gear or an appropriate spell, such as the internal warmth technique.
Type: Fundamental Spell
Requirements: Snowfall restraints spell and snow wall, as well as enough snow to enclose the target
Cost: C (and C for each post to maintain)
Rank: B

Name: Blizzard dragon Spell
Description: a powerful technique in which the user crafts a very large dragon out of pressurized snow and sends it at the opponent aiming to totally bowl over them resulting in large-scale damage, the dragon has an initial charge after it is cast in a single direction and then remains solid for two rounds. It is almost always proceeded by the blizzard technique because even in a snow covered environment this technique uses up tremendous amounts of snow to create. This technique is comparable to controlling a living avalanche of snow and uses an immense amount of both mana and snow for its construction, in some causes the dragon’s collapsing back in to inert snow has been known to burry opponents.
Type: Fundamental Spell
Requirements: Blizzard spell and Arctic wolf-pack stampede, as well as a massive amount of snow.
Cost: A
Rank: A
